Our Story
Five Elements Natural Skincare was founded out of compassion for people suffering from inflamed skin conditions. A young girl was suffering from eczema, and scratching herself to bleeding point, a condition that had plagued her for many months. Compassion drove us to research the skin health benefits of plants on our rural property near the Pelorus Bridge Reserve.
A skincare product was produced and appropriately called Five Elements Skin Tonic since it contained five botanical ingredients that were selected for their healing properties. This was given to the girl to try and after just one week of daily application, the condition had completely cleared. It was the rapid efficacy of the product that prompted a trial of the product on problem skin complaints from dry skin to psoriasis. The positive outcomes and encouraging feedback from satisfied people, led to the manufacture and sale of this product.
Five Elements has expanded to include the manufacture of a range of natural skincare and haircare products which include our unique five herbal healing extract as a signature ingredient.
Five Elements products contain New Zealand-grown herbal extracts derived from five different plant species, carefully selected for their skin healing properties. They are what make Five Elements products unique.
The plants from which the extracts are made are grown organically on our rural property in Marlborough, the South Island of New Zealand. Out of concern for harmful chemicals, like PBA, leaching into the preparations, plastic containers and plastic dispensers are avoided.
CONSERVATION
We care about the environment and our ‘Clean, Green Image’ and we are prepared to ‘Put our money where our mouth is’. A significant portion of profits are donated to New Zealand conservation projects and your purchase of our products will obviously contribute to this donation in a major way.

We value our Kiwi heritage. Our plant extracts are grown on our herb farm which is located in the sunny Pelorus Valley, Marlborough, in the South Island of New Zealand.
